1. Taking an Online Course

How do I obtain my “Certificate of Completion”?

Upon passing the quiz, you will be prompted to pay for the course. Once payment is made, you may obtain your certificate of completion by clicking on "My Account".

Do I submit the “Certificate of Completion” to my State Licensing Board?

The only time you need to submit your “Certificate of Completion” to your State Licensing Board is when:

  • You are required to do so as part of the license renewal process.
  • You are being audited.

How does online testing work?

If you click on the Exam button from your course launch page it will launch the online multiple choice test. It will show what question you have and have not answered. You can save your answers and come back later. When you are done answering all questions click on submit button in the bottom of the page and receive your immediate results.

What are the definitions of PDH, LU and CEU?

  • PDH - Professional Development Unit (1 PDH = 1 Credit Hour)
  • LU = Learning Unit (1 LU = 1 Credit Hour)
  • CEU = Continuing Education Unit (1 CEU = 10 Credit Hours)

How long will I have access to an online course?

You will have access to your online course for 1-year from date of purchase.

How do I exchange a course for another?

You may exchange a course for another by contacting us at via email admin@approvedpdh.com.

Can I print my online course?

Yes. Most courses are in PDF format which you can be save or print.

Do I have to be online the entire time to take course or quiz?

Some state licensing boards require you remain online the entire time to earn continuing education credit. Please check your state licensing board requirements.

What score I need on my exam to successfully pass my course

  • Professional engineers the score is 70%
  • Architects the score is 70%
  • Land Surveyor the score is 70%
  • AIA memberships the score is 80%
  • Texas Land Surveyors must pass their approved courses with a 95% as mandated by the Licensing Board.

What if I forget my username or password?

You may click the "forgot password" link under the login fields at any time if you happen to forget your password or username. You will receive a password reset to the email used to registered your account. If you are unable to retrieve it, please contact us at admin@approvedpdh.com.

Am I may be able to edit my account information?

Yes. Just click on "My Account", and then click on “Edit". You can edit All your information including:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Address
  • Licensed State
  • Password
  • Email Address

You can access our Privacy Policy by clicking on the Privacy Policy link at the bottom of each page on the web site.

3. Fees and Payment

What payment options does Approvedpdh.com accept?

Approvedpdh.com accepts payments in one of the following ways:

  • By a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover) via PayPal checkout.
  • By using your PayPal account.

How does Approvedpdh.com secure my online payment?

Approvedpdh.com uses PayPal to process your online credit card payment. At time of checkout, you will be directed to PayPal's credit card payment system. This method keeps all your payment information secured by PayPal's industry leading security standards and your information is never transferred or stored in our servers.

How do I get a receipt for my course payment?

  • You will receive an email with a receipt from PayPal immediately after completing the payment.
  • You may also see your purchase history by navigating to "Courses Taken" under the "My Account" menu item.

What should I do if my online payment did not get processed?

If your transaction did not go through, please verify that the information you entered is correct. If the problem still persists, please contact us at admin@approvedpdh.com.

4. Authoring & Providing a Course

What credentials do I need to qualify as a Approvedpdh.com course provider?

To qualify as an Approvedpdh.com course provider, you need to have BS degree and 10 years of related work experience or MS degree and 5 years of related work experience along with one of the following credentials:

  • Professional Engineering License
  • Architectural License
  • Land Surveyor License
  • Or, PhD from an accredited four-year university

How do I earn royalties by becoming a Approvedpdh.com course provider?

You will earn 50% of the course purchase price minus transaction charges each time your course is purchased. Contact us at admin@approvedpdh.com if you have any further questions.

5. State Board of Education

What if I am dual licensed (Engineer & Land Surveyor)?

Engineers can use land surveyor courses towards their requirement. Land surveyors cannot use engineer courses towards their requirement. However, any course taken for both licenses must be taken within the renewal period for each license.

Can I take the FL Engineer Laws & Rules course in different renewal periods?

FL Engineers can take the same Laws & Rules course in different renewal periods (including back to back renewal periods). However, if you are delinquent, and need more than 4 hours of Laws & Rules, you cannot take more than 4 hours from the same provider.
